This oversized DeLuxe room is filled with natural light from two large windows overlooking the second floor outdoor porch. The King Iron Bed has been brought to The Atlantic Hotel from a merchant who has been building iron beds since 1855. The beautifully crafted bed is dressed in white hand-ironed cotton sheets & duvet cover, a down comforter and New Generation pillows. The antique marble topped tables that grace the bed hold two fringed shaded lamps to add drama to this very special guest room. Tasseled and beaded decorator pillows strike a dramatic contrast against the white bed linen. Small fabric covered books have been placed by bedside for late-night reading.
Two straight back gold brocade chairs flank another beautiful marble top table between the large windows. Lace curtains complete the elegant wall treatment. A large armoire houses a 26-inch flat screen TV. An oversize closet is draped in the small dramatic drapery material as the windows. Two arm chairs – one matching gold brochure and another burgundy velvet add comfort seating. An antique carved marble top dresser with mirror completes the elegance of this King Guest Room. An antique papier mache angel has become a favorite of guests.
A large bathroom with a claw-footed tub and shower, hand bowl and commode is a comfortable space with fluffy white cotton terry toweling. Spa robes are provided for our guests’ use. Beiderboard trim, brass wall lamps with etched shades and antique mirror round out a Victorian experience.
